NEW! Graduate Certificate in Special Education for General Education Teachers in Inclusive Classrooms
The Institute for the Study of Exceptional Children and Youth, in the Counseling, Higher Education and Special Education Department, is pleased to offer a new Certificate program which will equip educators to meet the needs of students with disabilities in inclusive classroom settings. The skills gained through this program will equip participants to better serve ALL students in their schools.
This program is designed for professionals who wish to increase their skills while continuing to work. Scholars complete five online graduate classes consecutively.
Graduate Certificate Courses Online:
EDSP 600 Issues and Trends in Educating Individuals with Disabilities
EDSP 606 Advanced Study in Inclusive Practices in the Schools
EDSP 613 Principles and Practices in Positive Behavior interventions and Classroom Supports
EDSP 615 Assessment Techniques and Practices in Special Education
EDSP 652 Curriculum and Instruction Elem/Middle Special Education
Schedule - 5 Classes will be Taken Online Consecutively:
Spring Semester -- One course
Summer Session -- Two consecutive courses
Fall Semester -- One course
Spring Semester -- One course
