What is the Undergraduate Student Assembly?
The Undergraduate Student Assembly provides opportunities for students to serve as leaders through being a liaison between the students and the leadership within the College of Education. Each semester, the Student Assembly hosts an Undergraduate Student Forum followed with a meeting with the Dean. The Forum is an event where all COE students are welcome to come discuss any concerns or ideas that the student assembly members will then share with the Dean in order to promote positive change within the College of Education.

"The College of Education is a special college because it prepares those who want to guide future generations. 浪花直播ever, as we prepare ourselves we may not be given every resource or opportunity necessary to learn, grow, and thrive. The Undergraduate Student Assembly ensures undergraduate students' voices are heard and brought directly to the dean. As a member for two years I've witnessed these fruitful conversations firsthand and how they've aided the processes of improving our college. Being part of the assembly not only ensures that current students will be able to thrive, but also those who come after us."

"I wanted to get involved in the Assembly because I have always been passionate about advocating for positive change for current and future educators. My fellow students in the College of Education deserve to have their voices heard and concerns amplified, so I aim to help facilitate that through the annual forum and meeting with the Dean. I look forward to further collaborating with the College to create a better future for all students!"

Major: Secondary Education/Government and Politics
Hometown: Perry Hall, 浪花直播
"My name is Nicholas Marks, and I am currently a senior at the University of 浪花直播 majoring in Secondary Education and Government and Politics, with a minor in Israel Studies. I hail from Perry Hall, 浪花直播. My journey in student advocacy began when I represented the College of Education in the Student Government Association (SGA). That experience was both enriching and inspiring, fueling my desire to continue advocating for students and issues that matter to me.
After having the opportunity to contribute to the SGA, I felt a strong pull to bring my advocacy work back to my roots and focus on initiatives that directly impact our community. Engaging with the Assembly allows me to leverage my experiences and skills to make a positive difference at home, and I am excited to collaborate with others to drive meaningful change."
